The book release function   Of Economics Policy and Development   was held at Reserve Bank of India  auditorium ,Mumbai on Monday 16 July 2012  at 5.00 pm.       

On behalf of Oxford University Press, welcome speech was delivered by Mr. Manzar Khan. It was followed by the opening remarks of   Dr. Alaknanda Patel.  Dr. D. Subbarao, Governor , Reserve Bank of India , released the book and addressed the audience.  Valedictory remarks were   made by Dr. Y.V Reddy.

The guests included Deputy Governors   Mr. Subir Gokarn, Mr Anand Sinha, Mr.H.R. Kha­n, of Reserve Bank of India. Former retired  RBI Governors Shri. Amitabh Ghosh, Shri Ojha , Shri S. Tarapore, Smt K.J. Udeshi  were also present along with  RBI  Central board Directors, Executive Directors-RBI. The chairman and Managing Directors of  Public Sector Banks , Private  Sector as well as  Foreign  banks  like HSBC /Bank of America  were present .  Chief Economists of   Foreign banks/Multinational companies also attended the event. Over 100 people were present .

The media included representatives of English (Financial Express, Hindu Business Line,  Economic Times , Business Standard,Mint )  as well as regional dailies  Mahrashtra  Times Sakal ). Electronic Media was represented by NDTV Profit/CNBC TV 18 /Bloomberg TV.  

The media interactions with Dr. Y. V. Reddy about the book has generated the  awareness  about the title. We have received a good feedback from the people  and  have booked  the orders  for  copies . The copies  will be supplied  through  our regular vendor.
